What better way to spend the night before the big 2015 Federal Election than with the Nellie McClung Foundation talking about feminism and women’s rights! Their production of Let Them Howl, a dramatic reenactment of the mock-parliament that featured Nellie McClung and her peers in the Political Equality League (a one night only event) was enjoyed by all! The players included Marcia McClung, Nellie’s granddaughter, who graciously took the time to speak to everyone that approached her. Celebrating the victory of Manitoba women’s right to vote for almost 100 years was an inspiration given the changes that would be happening in Canada’s political landscape on the following day.
